Black maserati car mats with a biscuit coloured carpet? Thoughts?

Hi,

I've got a biscuit coloured interior, with biscuit coloured carpets. I need new mats, but am questioning spending £££'s on a set of biscuit coloured mats that will get trashed pretty quickly.

Black mats make so much more sense, but I think they might look odd?

Anyone already done this or consider it normal? Might try and put my Merc mats in the Masser (if they fit) and see how it looks.

Cheers

I've been thinking along the same lines. While it won't look as good as the originals did when they were pristine I'm sure it will look fine.

For Halfords do a set for £9.99. You could try them just to see what level of oddness occurs.

Mines the same colour combo, beige leather, blonde carpets, blue piping on leather dash and sebring blue.
I was finding the light coloured carpets difficult to keep clean, so bought a new set, the same colour, so I could trash a set, and have a perfect set for show/if I sell.
It was still annoying me, so I have just collected today a dark blue set. Blue to match the exterior colour, and the blue piping on the dash.
Not too bad, as a complete set of four from Maserati £65, but as per posted on another thread, they are double the cost for later 4200's (don't know why yet!)
I'll fit them later tonight and see if they look okay!...picture to follow...

Before and after.
Not the best pictures, those I took with a flash gave all the wrong colour shades, so without more natural, but under artificial light still not the best.
I'm happy think they go well, the colour does match very well with the blue piping and the exterior paint colour, certainly better for day to day usage, the original ones look great, but impossible to keep clean...and putting another mat, on top of a mat, would just be silly!

Thanks all.

Hard to make out from the pictures Mike but it seems to work, I have the exact same interior as you, down to the dash piping.

Do wonder if black might look better or worse.

Mike, was hoping to see fixing points/clips on carpets and floor if possible to see if different from the later carpets....possible?

Can only then assume the overall dimensions are the same....chance of measuring from centre of each stud from side to side and top to bottom....just push on studs...sorry for extra grief Mike!

Black would work okay...but I think the dark blue is more classy!
Another picture, with flash, the contrast is not as severe in real life, but does show how good the colour match is with the piping and paint colour.

No idea......they are 3200s mats........not sure someone would need to do measurements and stud placements location etc......ask Dem when he comes on to do the necessary

All options look fine. One choice is to have beige mats in the summer and black in the winter. Maybe rubber ones for the latter?

I've lots of choice, I have three sets to choose from presently, slightly worn beige, brand new beige (keeping these for future resale), brand new blue!
