I’m not against LHD per se in the UK but if I can avoid it I’d prefer to. Not really the usual ‘overtaking/barriers’ issue people seem to have, more the forever in potholes and drainage grates.
As much as I love the SZ, for example, driving them in the UK, and driving them in the manner they were made for, can be challenging. I think on one trip through the Cotswolds in one I knew all the drainage cover maker’s serial numbers by heart. Or, more accurately, coccyx.

Strange as you know I have an SZ and never have had issues with ride quality of shocks though my bones, in fact it rides really well. The only issue I have had is when one up it can sometimes crash the bottom of the front bumper hence why it has been rebuilt a number of times.

Now Irish roads are a different thing the country lanes are more suited to tractors than cars so the SZ suffers but no worse than the moderns we have.

Edit: The SZ from memory is great at absorbing undulations, but short, sharp shocks rattle through the car. It could have been the ones I’ve driven though.

They do differ, mine is totally different to one a friend once had much more tolerant but you are right it is sharp shocks that upset them. Jamie Porter took me round Combe in his and in mine and even he noted that mine handled much better and could be pushed harder into the corners.

Mine was initially owned by an Alfa GB board member and we believe that the car might have been selected or tweaked accordingly. For instance SZs have terrible variable panels gaps, mine doesn't they are all consistent. When I hit a badger and damaged the front bumper we stripped back all the paint and found a number of past adjustments that made it fit properly that must have been done before delivery.

Bit spendy for a non-GT when these GTs are a bit more reasonably priced.

No. The Primatist is a standard Ghibli in a pretty colour, yet it costs more than a Cup, apparently. That’s just daft. I’d rather have a late Ghibli GT manual than either of those cars, and at half the price.

It’s currently at parity with GT 2.0s with a day to go.

Co-incidentally on the site when bidding was in last minute. It showed last bid of €55K and then closed. Still good money for a GT limited edition but would not be surprised if it pops again for sale as originally they wanted +€70K for this Ghib (don’t even think a Cup would really do €70K right now but you never know)

A European silver Cup popped up on AutoScout a few weeks back and then disappeared very quickly.

I’m still taken by the bright orange one owned by a Dallara staffer.

Haha, went atleast down in price. Same garage as last years. Lets see. Still too high imo with those specs but on the other hand you only need one person with the funds that wants one. They are rare to find. Remains very nice but not against Cup money.
