This months EVO article....Interview with Harold Wester Maserati CEO.
All future engines will have twin turbo's...fastest QP to get four wheel drive.
New QP 150kg lighter and at least 30 percent more economical Even thought the car grows in size and the top model features 4WD. Reason for 4WD is because both the top diesel and petrol engines will have 500lb ft.
On sale next Jan and then followed by the new baby QP a few months later.
GranTurismo Coupe will soldier on until 2015 and is already Maseratis most successful model ever. It will not be easy to replace but there will be another beautiful 2 plus 2 to replace it.
The Kubang will also go on sale in 2013 but will not be called Kubang.
Petrol engines will continue to be built by Ferrari ..... both V6 and V8's will be Biturbo.
The 4.2 and 4.7 will go when the GranTourismo production stops in 2014.
QP will only be available with the eight speed ZF quto gearbox and CEO hinted that this will be the end of the automated manual MC shift gearbox.
Maserati sales were up 10% in 2011 with 6200 units....The new models should move this to 40,000.
