There’s not much that drives in a similar manner to the Ghibli Cup, however. It has a distinct set of characteristics that you either get on with, or you don’t. The only car that gets close is the BMW 1M, in terms of driving style. It has less lag but not as much steering feel as the Cup. It is also around the same price as a Cup, if not more.No - not baffling. I’ve had 2 Ghibli’s and 2 Cups and driven over 100k miles in them. And in my opinion (which is all this is), paying in the region of £50k for a Cup makes no sense. It simply is not that good a car. There are way better cars (including Maseratis) at that that price bracket and below. A late GranTurisimo Sport being just one.
But of course, I’m perfectly happy for other people to think differently and to spend their own money however they wish.
The Japanese twin turbo sixes are more in the GT realm, I’ve found. And also £40k-50k these days.
Other than the Skylines, which are £50-500k. And 4wd.
