That ls the purpose of this thread, get some options on the table, take a look and drive a few cars come up with a short list.
Take a run in a Vanquish, Sam. You'll love it. Very refined, classy... and the hounds of **** can be unleashed on your command. The S sounds stratospherically glorious.

..... there's a refined, gentle elegance to these. Not showy, over the top, a Ferrari for people who don't need to tell people they drive a Ferrari

Did you mean this????

Apparently if you are mad, you can pay £100,000 for one:

But for better value:

Not had a chance to peruse through all the responses but if I were after some V12 happiness, a late 612 Scaglietti would be high on my list.

The design is a bit marmite but I think these are beautiful.

They have warmed on me and look much better in the flesh
I do love a Scaglietti and can appreciate the 456 – but @MarkMas they are statement cars; they're not what you'd call subtle.
The 365/400/412, you have to know that they are a Ferrari, to know that they are a Ferrari, if you follow me.

Been to look round a couple or Ferrari’s and Astons with Mrs Scaf and she is not a fan of the Italian Stallions……. it’s a brand thing and sod all to do with the cars themselves.
She prefers the Astons which is familiar territory.
So I think when the time comes it will be a V12 Aston…….. will spend some time looking at the various options, money won’t come in till March April.

You need to drive an F12 Sam… once driven, once smitten..
Your Strad will feel like a Ford ST.

This.

And Sam, you know how mega my FF with Novitec exhaust was. I love the Lusso too but the price difference from FF to Lusso is £50k and it's not worth that. The F12 is amazing but they are a little bit skittish when on the edge and so you have to be confident.

I own a 550, the engine is a masterpiece, absolutely bullet proof. I totally get the appeal of an Aston, if you are on Twitter follow SSO @SupercarOwner he puts up so some posts.

I defy anyone to drive a Ferrari V12 and Aston V12 of the same era on the same day and prefer the Aston. But if wife says no, divorce is considerably more expensive......
I know Sam doesn’t want a shouty ‘supercar’ with funny doors. That’s why my money is on a TDF blue F12 with tan interior. Somewhat understated but a complete rocket ship.
Just a shame his wife is anti Ferrari.. perhaps put an Aston badge on the F12..?
;)
