Dealer quoted me £2800 for major service and belt 5 years ago. Did it myself cost £250 no problems

Shiltech have just quoted me £950 + VAT for a major service and cam & aux belts. Annual service and cam & aux belts comes out at £670 + VAT which seems reasonable to me but a long drive down for you Alan

I have had a certain Nottingham dealer match the indies to the penny. Various thoughts on indies versus main dealers. I believe the general view is the indies have more intrinsic knowledge of the older vehicles. If you do choose a main dealer let them know you are talking to the indies. The price does come down.

I would be inclined to stick with someone you know.......and more importantly trust.......price matching has its uses...but....
