I decided to do a bit of detail cleaning on my Gransport over the weekend and removed the rear Maserati badge to clean and polish behind it and remove all old polish residue from the badge.
Now this all went well until i tried to put the badge back onto the car, the lugs all lined up as they should but it does not now sit flush to the car its seems it was originaly glued as well, does anybody know what type of glue to use ?

No it was never glued , there are three small (pins) protusions on the back of the maserati script, its held on with 3 very small star shaped circlips from inside the bootlid , you have obviously prized it off gently , thus removing the circlips , they are so small i doubt very much that you will find them by removing the bootlid lining , ring eurospares and get 3 more, or any branch of pillar seals and gaskets will have them , tho you better take the badge along to try the news ones on the pins

very useful loz I would have done the same thing and lost them

Fortunately Andy had that particular Tshirt, best way is remove the bootlid liner bradawl in one hand to push the pin out from inside whilst holding a magnet close by to retrieve the clips , they are really small and fiddly and room in there is limited ,

Just a note , these scripts go milky , i have replaced with new ones on both cars , the whole badge is not that expensive and comes with 3 new clips
