£136.49 for a Bosch S5 with a 5 year guarantee from EuroCarParts. They have the Winter35 code for 35% discount.
Other useful suppliers are Tayna but their website steers you towards Enduroline, very cheap. £80 with a four year guarantee.
Take your pick
Makes sense. I’ve often bought Bosch garden tools and their batteries have been developing ever shorter lifespans. Same for their drills which I’ve always bought the chaps at work. Sadly, they are now consumables which are cheaper to buy new than repair. I can remember media training a load of Siemens/Bosch guys twenty or so years ago and they were the archetypal nerdy scientists pursuing the perfect product. I guess they got the sack and we’re replaced by accountants. Similar to Mercedes, I suspect.never thought much of Bosch batteries from past experiences or indeed others, over the last few years I been buying Yuasa batteries and never had any issues, they just seem to be a quality built product and I've never had to charge one, the equivalent to Bosch S5 is Yuasa YBX 096 this in my opinion is a far better battery
You are the first guy I met who declared he did not think much of Bosch batteries.
Thanks. I'm loving every minute with it so definitely a good decisionWelcome back, friend. Always good to hear of someone buying, rather than selling, a 4200
