Awaiting delivery...

Just a quick update. My dealer confirmed my car will be delivered at the end of July. Of course as already mentioned good sense would dictate that I wait until Sept 1 for the new reg, however the child in me has swayed me, and as I have a private plate no one knows how old my car is.
I am using a local mobile detailer to prepare the car (Stephen Bryce Valeting), and he will use Zymol wax, aproduct I have been using for about 10 years. For those that are interested in these things, I prefer a wax to the current range of ceramic coatings, the reason, that if I polish out an inevitable a surface mark I can re-apply the wax. A ceramic coating requires the whole panel to be re-finished.
A couple of questions:-
Has anyone used the services of Stephen, and hopefully been pleased with the results?
I am trying to locate some touch up paint in case of a dreaded stone chip. Does anyone know if 406 is the correct code for blu emozione?

Thanks, and regards
Keith

Always a fan of zymol Keith; zero abrasives has to be a winner in my mind. Enjoy the new car :)

I waited the extra few week on my Alfa. It was at the dealers from the end of July and I waited till 1st September for the new registration. Drove me daft waiting the extra few weeks but it was worth the wait. You should gain a little in value by waiting when it comes time to trade in again.
The difference between a 2015 65 plate and a 2016 65 plate won't be that much in 4 or 5 years time but the difference between a 15 plate and a 65 plate will be greater. The higher the value of the car the bigger the gap tends to be. Thats assuming that you take your private plate off it and revert to standard when you change in the future.

Congratulations on your purchase. Look forward to seeing some pictures when you get her.
