Michelin have just released the Pilot Sport 4, which apparently replaces the supersport, might be worth a look.

I've been very impressed with how well the Supersports on my BMW have worn as well as fantastic grip levels wet or dry.

i would reckon the goodyears are better than the Avons. I have had both on more than one car and the Avons are ok but the good years grip better, possibly more inclined to break away suddenly at the limit than the Avons but both good tyres. I have Good year F1 on my 3200 just now.

I know mark loves the Goodyear as we have spoke before about them, but I'm only looking for a good tyre
With a good right up and available in both front and rear as I tend not drive like a
Hooligan anymore (not that mark does lol).
So the Avons looked good on paper and are a good price as well.
Thanks for the coments

I had Avons on my A4, they are ok but i preferred the Vredestein Ultra Vorti for driving feel and ride quality.

On my GS i need new tyres and the new Conti Sport 6 caught my eye, its not a great deal more expensive than the Goodyear Asymmetric 2. Goodyear released the Asymmetric 3 recently too but you can't get it in the right size for the rears on a GS.

Depends on your driving style, ZZ5's are great as an everyday tyre on a performance car, handle wet weather very well. However they do not offer great grip compared to the Eagle F1's, but F1's are not brilliant in the wet. I have P-Zero's at the min, and they're good, but we use the Michelin Super Sports at work, and they will be what I put on my car next. Amazing tyre for grip if you drive your car fast! not great in the wet though, and avoid the sport cup's if you do any road driving in the wet.

So to sum up, if you drive your car like an everyday car, they're fine. If you drive it like a sports car, maybe go for something a bit higher spec'ed.

That's the sort of answer I had in my mind, which in my driving mode the Avons are fine, but I did notice in Costco yesterday
They had the Michelin pilot sport 4 in the front and rear sizes at a good price, and now and again do have a 20 percent
Discount offers on 4 tyres on occasions, which would bring the cost down to nearly Avon prices.
So I'm going to wait for the offer to appear and get them,so thanks for the Michelin write up.

Costco don't do the 20% off 4 tyres offer anymore, it was a great offer because it was before vat so almost buy 3 get one free but without the Over inflated prices from the big retailers plus you get your tyres filled with nitrogen

What they offer now is a Costco voucher that starts at £30 and goes up with bigger sizes , I think it was too popular with people waiting for it so the tyre bay was dead for weeks before it was due.
