There is a Used Buying Guide for 4200 in Autocar which might amuse or be of interest to some here?

Hi Team GCR, How's the racing going? Did I see one of your cars on the telly the other week?

Was going to buy it but thought I would flick first then I saw all the errors and didn't bother. Its the same in the Sunday Times with Jason Dawe. Whenever they cover a car I know something about I find the errors which reduces my confidence in the other buying guides both do.

I'm now shi**ing myself as I realise that I have no red key for my 4200 and a new clutch is going to cost £2400. What tosh!

PS A special thanks for Tesco for its help in making this post.

Sometimes with these Journalists/column writers a little knowledge is dangerous

Just read it in Sainsbury's, not really a great buying guide, Evo magazine are much more detailed. Banana's car is mentioned in there, they say the colour is dodgy for re sale, not if you have tastes like myself

B****cks!
Already went to get this magazine before reading the comments that were added by forum members. Incorrect info. [keys!] and generally poor article. Won't be spending £2.80 on this cr*p again. I wish folks would stop trying to say the cars are 'cheap' - good 'uns aren't.
Disappointing, since Maserati doesn't seem to feature in the motoring press very often - even in Auto Italia.

What a load of rubbish...I had a look as well...I think its the typical view of someone who doesn't understand the marque and just listened to others...

I stopped buying it years ago and now they own Pistonheads you get all the info on there before the mag comes out anyway.

Got a copy.......not too bad a write up really....the pointed out inaccuracies which is truly a shame the foremost weekly magazine, not acceptable really......not keen on the word Fiesta in same sentence as a 4200 though!

But don't you think one of us would be just a tad biased UM.....even just a tiny bit????!!!

AC....is a poor magazine in many respects though.........

Yes we maybe a tad biased but we also recognise the lilitations and the faults of the models too.........we would never be able to claim that Maseratis are perfect but we would certainly be able to give a better appraisal purely based on our experience with the cars
