Very well done - a lovely colour combination.
So, that just leaves Birdcage as the only non-Maser owner on the forum. Can't understand what's taking him so long to congratulate you!
Looks like you need to contact Lorenzo for some refurbished window buttons.
You have to kiss a lot of frogs..
Congrats. Hope you have much enjoyment
To be fair I saw a lot of frogs (absolute heaps!).
Have had loads of enjoyment in the last two days.
In fact now the roads seem to have dried out this morning, might take her for a blast at lunch!![]()
Out of interest Mark, did you find it easy to walk away from the other cars you looked at before finding the right one..? Reason I ask is the very thought of going to look at any Maser with a view to buying is already tying my stomach in knots but (in a nice way). I had a very quick shuftie at a QPV before Christmas which was a real head turner, but the gaps in the paperwork put me off. The come down on the journey in to work afterwards was in complete contrast to the excitement I'd built up on the way to see it! In a way I worry that I may still end up buying a wrong 'un by getting over excited when going to see a particular car, sounds daft I know but I've made that mistake In the past with a few older classic motors.
Cheers Mark, good advice!
In hindsight, if I added up everything I've spent on various classic Minis and Rovers over the years I'd have enough to buy a very tidy and usable Maser by now! The more exotic stuff like Boras, Meraks etc are well out of my league now but a well looked after QPV at the right price will satisfy my craving for something with a trident on the front. If I were in a position to pounce on a good one that was for sale privately it'd be done and dusted by now, but I need to trade in at least one of my current motors to make it happen so as you say I guess I'll just have to be patient.
At least I've stopped looking at Porsches on Autotrader...!
