A picture paints a thousand words! You can all see the large STOP sign? Well she didnt!
So I am looking for recommendations for an approved Bodyshop in south east, I live in Hastings, East Sussex.

Wow sorry to see and hear your bad news. I would let the insurance do their work and see who they propose you take it to first.

Was she blind drunk or just blind not to see the 6ft stop sign?

It took me a minute to work out how the cars got that way around.

What a pisser.

Take it to your local Ferrari Maserati dealers at Lyndhurst and get the blind fools insurance to pay for recovery, your loan car of similar standard, whiplash and hurt feelings along with a claim for damaging the resale value.

If they push back tell them you will hand it over to a claims recovery agency.

The sad and bad news is they may not want to pay what it will cost to repair and take the easy way out.
Difficult to see all the damage, but it could need a lot and costs will build quickly: Grille is £680. Bumper £1300, bumper crossmember £870, seat belt pretensioners, brackets, wing repair, possible radiator damage, parking sensors, bolts, washers, paint and labour. Costs could be really high depending who does quote.

I am with Lockton Insurance and they said they had no approved on their list for the South East?

The woman driver thought that I was the one that should have stopped, total idiot!! Anyone on a Bike would be in hospital for a long long time , shouldn't be allowed on the road.

Police came, no one hurt and were happy for me to drive it home as it appears most of the damage is front and side wings. It felt like I was in a bulldozer when I hit her, the Toyota just spun round like a fairground Dodgem. Hers is most likely a write off, rear and front wheels on hers just buckled in. Fortunately I had slowed a little, so no airbag or wasted rubber on the road. Police were amazed how well the car stood up.

I was collecting the debris off the road and theatrically threw it the boot, her husband had the front to point out a little bit of plastic on the verge and said I had missed a bit. When I told him that I was just picking up the worst off the road he said "I thought you might need it>" . Unbelievable! I quickly replied " Im not going to be ******* gluing it back together !!" Which made the policeman laugh.

Beaconsfield Workshop rebuilt my mates Espirit when it was written off. They did fantastic work and paint. At the end of the day it should be collected and delivered anyway so doesn't matter where it goes in the South I guess.

I really don't want to part with her, only 13000 miles on the clock! 2013 plate.
Oh I thought it was a 10 plate. Bit of grille in the way of the 3 and I did not look too hard to be fair. Here's hoping they fix her up then.

As above... don't be bullied into doing what her insurance would like you to do.... they will want it done for a little as possible and as cheap as possible.

The road looks with all the markings and extra grip road surface, a bit of an accident black spot. I'd imagine if you were half a sleep the road looks to go straight on.

Given the MOT history on the Toyota it needed to come off the road anyway. Bl00dy shame that your car got the job though Compass.

Glad to hear you are well. Unbelievable that the other driver didn’t see the stop sign.

I had this once with my M5, they wrote it off but I negotiated, bought the car from the insurance co and found a good body shop.

I initially took it to the main dealer for the highest quote.

Best wishes with the repairs.
