Why is it not registered Loz .... Thought if its an insurance claim it gets a cat letter .... Is it just a bumper it needs? . That could be a very cheap car. Not tempted Loz? Its one of the best looking cars on the road to.

No more than a Maserati Frank ... Remember you only hear when things go wrong on forums but many more are out there being reliable.

I know Marcos has both he has had no end of trouble with his DB7 but think the newer ones are OK ...Early V8 Vantage were an issue but they sorted most of them out.

Nope ... Must say the QP has been a great one for Maserati .. No reliability issues, great looking, great sounding ... They must be pleased. I've always wanted a GS but now the QP is the same price I think that would be the better buy becasue of reliability and the fact it was a complete new car unlike the GS that is builgt on a 3200/4200.

Yes without a doubt Frank and some would prefer the smaller Coupe to a big 4 door. You pays your money.....

Andy the Vantage needs a bumper headlight inner arches and some work on the rear quarter and a new cill cover , its my guess insurance companies are starting to play the Cat system when it suits them , it first came about to stop cut and shut stuff and double claim insurance fraud , but i think they have found that on the high end stuff they are loosing out big time , and gap insurance will probably cease in a year or two or the premiums will go sky high ,

By not catergorising high end stuff, they can get more for it at salvage auction thus minimising there losses, same as that Turismo GT S i looked at and bid on 2 weeks ago , with all that damage it wasn't on the register

So Loz....to sum up the insurance companies are getting around registering the car....just the same as taking a damaged car into the UK via the RoI?

They hold the key, as to whether a car gets put on Vcar register Frank, its was initially set up as a safety deterrent for the public at the same time keeping a central register , which the data could be drawn from by who ever might be interested, they made the rules now they are playing about with them when it affects there losses
