I'm looking at a 2008 GranTurismo at EPP in Marlow. Does anyone know this dealer?

Many thanks in advance.

There must be a good reason how that car has ended up where it has and offered for sale.
I guess its down to you as a buyer to do your homework, do some digging and have it inspected by a Maserati specialist to find out why its for sale where it is and not at a marque specialist.

In the Porsche circle it is often said that 'a good Porsche' and 'cheap' are mutually exclusive.

Perhaps this may be true for Maserati ? Or should that be 'especially a Maserati'?

Caveat emptor and all that springs to mind...

The reasons why I think it's cheap are that it's an early model, GS were still around, it's a 4.2 not a later 4.7, burgundy leather is an acquired taste and probably because it's done 68k miles. I can see why you are tempted.

Caveat emptor as cheshiremaserati says but you can always pop in and have a look at it, including the paperwork etc, if it's missing services and the MOT history doesn't look good then you'll have your answer.

You never know it could be a good'un.

Points well made. But unlike GS, there are many GT cars for sale and therefore you have a reasonably abundant choice of cars for sale. Mileage is a sensitive point and if you do 10k in your ownership and want to move it on, it may be an issue. The burgundy leather may also pose challenge as its a narrower choice than crema or black in a fairly abundant pool of cars that may mean buyers skipping burgundy interior.

I think a PPI through a Maserati specialist will be a very sensible step prior to deciding if this is the car you want to buy.
Good luck. It may turn out to be 'a good 'un' .
