I use my GS as a daily driver although most days we commute in a diesel company car but youvgetbrhenpoint.
I've ever worried about mpg on the basis I enjoy my car and I'm prepared to pay for it.
BUT - I had a 700 mile round trip the other week and decided to test what mpg I was getting to see just how much 'short' my company mileage allowance was. The result was something of a disappointment.
22.5mpg.
The journey was 90% motorway (M6, M6 toll, M42, M5) plus some A roads to Newquay.
To be fair the car was 2 up and the boot was rammed (the OH doesn't travel 'economy') but even so.
Speed wise- after a speeding ban in 2014 it was 75 - 85 with a stack of 50 zones chucked in.
What do others get?
I'm not fussed at the cost perspective per se (although at 15 - 18,000 miles/ yr of Shell V Power a saving on my £4-£5K fuel bill wouldn't be bad), I'm more concerned there is something I should be attending to?
Thanks for your thoughts.
