By the time I’d picked up the car from Emblem and driven across it was 1 pm. The rain had stopped by then but there was hardly anyone around, just a few Fiats … Hopefully the weather will be a lot kinder for Simply Italian.

Dodgy weather but excellent company today. Well worth the drive. Thank you all for being there.
We'll get more conversation next time, when it will be sunnier.
The golden bowl for superlative achievement and commitment goes to Joel in his wonderfully turned out Ghibli from the '90s. He lives in Alton, drove to Guildford to meet the convoy, joined it and drove back to Alton for the meet, where it turned out to be raining.
The wooden spoon, I claim for myself. Not so much for drifting sideways down a slippery grassy field in the wet, but more for being daft enough to follow the instructions to park there, on the slope.

Good to see you Alan, the drifting on the grass was great entertainment over breakfast :D

We should talk about winter tyres one day.....

Sorry to read that Mark. As it happens, there's plenty on here about mending your own windscreen wipers but it is time consuming.
I've stripped and redone a door handle on mine and it wasn't too bad, though getting the waterproof membrane out was tedious.
No idea about the alarm.
Sorry you can't join us. I was particularly looking forward to a conversation about cats and streets and things. It'll have to wait.

Would you like to pop over and fix the wipers for me @Alan Surrey , since you now have such fine experience???
