This is the Alfa Romeo Pandion concept car, created by Stile Bertone's styling house.

The pictures of the car have leaked out ahead of the car's launch at the Geneva motor show, so details are scarce.
See the Alfa Romeo Pandion concept car pictures. The concept is based around the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione car and is one of two special Alfa concepts designed to celebrate the firm’s100th anniversary. A Pandion is a type of sea hawk.

Pininfarina is the other styling house producing a concept; its offering will be a two-seater spider.

Stile Bertone was left independent when Alfa’s parent company Fiat took over the manufacturing side of Bertone’s business.
Both concept cars cars are billed purely as prototypes and have not been earmarked for production.

Alfa’s 100th anniversary celebrations will also form the basis of this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Alfa Romeo have never been short of the abilty to turn out beautiful cars. I just wish that they would move on from all this front wheel drive nonsense and invest in a beautiful more powerful rear wheel drive model at an affordable price.

250 to 260bhp seems to be the maximum output that can be reasonably put down to the front wheels without compromising the handling of the car. Thats even with all the electronic gizzmos like traction control.

If Alfa are going to be serious contenders in the sports car market in future they need to move on and to develop an 8C for an affordable price. Come on Alfa give us what we are yearning for.

Not been an Alfa owner personally , my youth and mid age was scattered with Fiats 124's sports and spyders had em all in different engine specs , along with a multitude of Lancias my favourite of all and the only ever Brand New car in my life was the Lancia 2ltr Supercharged Volumex awesome car but dropped money like a stone, faster than Kate Moss with a bucketfull of coke , but i really do like the look of the Latest Alfa Spyder , i know its been out a couple of years now and i could swear i saw a diesel one a month or so ago can somebody confirm that, now that would suit my Kaz a treat for a works car , economy and a bit of posing

Arh, the Volumex!

I remember when I first saw one, it was owned by the dad of a family we went to Cornwall with, must have been very early 80's

Lovely car, and sat next to my dads Cortina Mk III in Daytona Yellow, it showed just how modern the Lancia was. I still remember to this day, the squishy sponge rear spoiler on the boot, it was fantastic!

Another Italian marque that needs a kick up the pants these days though!

Lancia (pronounced lancheeea) has suffered the same fate as Alfa, masses of heritage, nulled by Fiat. I would rather see these marques sold to the Germans but have some passion and individuality put back into them than languish in the basement at Fiat.
