ALA Car Warranty worth it?

I just had a quote for my 2017 Maserati Levante from https://msm-warranty.comparisoncreator.com/results/

It apperars that a lot of the parts I worry about are covered, https://www.ala.co.uk/warranty/what-is-covered and the warranty is not that expensive (quote shows a 3 year price) which is how long I intend to keep my car.
I am poised to spring for the platinum cover.

But before I do, any practical poisitive or negative examples in using the service from ALA would be much appreciated!

As one who does not trust any warranty Co. I can only point out that you get what you pay for.

Waste of money. The catch-all is the "wear and tear" clauses. They'll be happy to take your money and then argue like **** why the fault is not covered. Caveat emptor

As with all car warranties, read the small print and then read it again, then give them a couple of what if examples to ask would this be covered.

They don't make money from paying out on claims

Yeah I have heard this too that warranty companies are not worth it, it always seems to be the popular opinion.
Full disclosure I have a friend who got his clutch failure paid for on his Porsche ~10k.
Any practical experience among the forumites of ALA not paying out? WIth the Maserati, I am quite nervous with the engine failure stories etc that I hear. Any alternatives to ALA?

I was watching 'Car Wizards' review of that model and he stated that the motor is strong on reliability.

I have only read posts about weather ingress on the Lavante, not seen any please for help with the engine on here.
