Read the thread with interest and respect everyones opinions and you all know my car is a high miler and i use her to the full.
Fitting the filter was straight forward on a ramp as its underneath and my filter housing was replaced in its last service.
They are vunerable to the elements but it fits the same as the original.
I can't realy say i notice more induction but i fitted it after my rear boxes and they are loud.
My BMC was fitted the day before the DMS upgrade so was spotlessly clean and i know ive said it before but on its first dyno run 424.8 BHP.

I have fitted a BMC filter today to replace my rather cruddy OE filter. I am not, by the way, casting aspersions about OE filters just that it's been in a while and was full of cr4p. It now feels livelier at low revs but probably would have done so with a clean OE filter so I will have to leave it at that! However, everything I do to her makes her drive that little bit better and that little bit faster. I am sooo impressed with her.

Ok, time for an update!

Mixed feelings really.. the factory airbox really is a TERRIBLE design! Lets in water straight to the filter! hence mine was corroded. On the flipside the original filter really is like a cone filter already...to be honest after seeing it I dont think there will be much improvement in sound or performance. The reason for upgrading really is to stop the original filters integrity being attacked by regular use.

I have ordered a set of BMC filters too. Expect them to be in the mail tomorrow. :)
Will let you know what I think.
