Evening everyone

Well after deciding not to sell - I've found out that baby number 3 is on the way and my car must now very sadly, go!

So - can I for one final time seek your advice please on the price, where to sell and I guess - is anyone looking??

I'm not looking to sit on it for ages and also have a house to buy so its not like I have loads of spare time to spend with tyre kickers!!! There is a similar GT on for £14,500 in blue. Not as nice as mine as black appears rare - there is only one for sale in the UK at mo I think.

To recap - its a Jan 2004, Black GT manual. Its got 53,000 miles, had a recent service, 10 months MOT, and is gorgeous!

I look forward to your help

Mark,
That's a hard one mate, everyone thinks their wheels are the business and should demand a high figure. I recently looked around at 4200's with a view to buying and now have a 2007 facelift. The problem I found was that there were loads around to choose from, but lot's of them were dogs and you don't know until you get them inspected. It's only a suggestion, but it might help you to sell quickly, if you already could supply an inspection certificate from an independent specialist to prospective buyers. It would cost you between £150 & £300 for an inspection, but could satisfy a serious buyer for a quick sale. Realistically on price you can get a 2004 for around £13.5K, or even cheaper but with some issues. Offer an inspection and it might just swing it for you at the right price you are wanting.

It's a good idea mate and I guess it would seriously help. I did get one done myself when I bought mine.

Recently had a health check done on it and main stealer thought it was mint which is good - document to show buyer also.

£13,500-£14,500 appears to be range - guess ill look £14k to be smack in the middle!

I just can't get over how much car you get for your money. Just need a buyer now - anyone?!!

Are there many dealers or specialists I should approach or just stick it on Autotrader with the other 20??

This forum are about to launch a new classifieds section, any day now!! You can also try Pistonheads? If you want to place your car with someone, a specialist, you could try Dicky Grace who is a member on here, but I don't know of anyone specifically in your area. Check the thread Maserati Independent Specialists, there might be somebody close, not sure? If you advertise it, mention the Stealer Health Check is available for serious buyers.

No problem trying to help you out. You've received good advice already and I'd say £14k is a good starting point. You'll have to be patient though, call me if you need any help.

Mark,
Never heard of Ian Mutch and they do not appear to like telling anybody where they are based, it must be a secret. I don't like that, you tell them everything and they tell you nothing???
Dicky and others like him are very open handed, that's what you should be looking for.
