A friend of mine recently did a novice day and said it was brilliant, they drive you around the circuit in your as well, bet that is interesting to see your car being driven on the limit.

Im weird like that....some courses are recommended by the government and can give you cheaper insurance.....

Even wierder Adam to actually be a passenger in it at the same time , happened to me at Goodwood, installed even more confidence in the car

Adam, don't be silly you haven't upset anyone....Its just your opinion mte....

A trackday novice course is a good ides....But once you have tasted it you will be hooked....

I went to Donnington with Lotus and until that moment I thought I was pretty handy in a car around the track.....I was rubbish......They Lotus drivers were amazing and taught me a few things...

Did the same at the Lotus teast track and that was brilliant....Lotus used to do a thing called...Scare yourself sensible....It cost £90 and was half a day at the factory....You had a few laps with the instructor with you and a few flying laps with the instructor driver....Most of the people getting out after the flying laps were white...Me a Liz got out wanting more........After that you got a factory tour...

DMS are already working on making it 600bhp and 600 torque..........

Next........................... new cars are just not as exciting now, too much tech involved.

Trouble is its the future Adam...Even if we don't like it this is a taste of things to come....

Yeah it is, same story with the 458, it is such a boring car IMO in terms of how a sports car should be, way too technical for example it tells you how hot your tyres are and christ knows how many settings for the differential and traction control. Dont get me wrong, it looks fabulous but as a car, it fails, it is more Playstation than Mechanical involvement.

The thing is everyone one wants to get faster and faster and to control that they need all the electronic stuff I suppose...

I would not buy one for that price, spend a bit more i think like the one i posted, superb condition. Yours was a beauty and had done low miles had it not??

Yes...56k when I bought it...or was it 46k...God my memory....I was a good one Adam but still had some rust bubbles on the boot lid leading edge as lots of them do...

That is weak spot on the E39's i believe. I had a ride in an E39 M5 when my mates dad was collecting his Alpina B3 3.3, even in 6th gear at low revs it went like a train.
