Accessing fuses/OBD port on QP

Hi,
just got a OBD reader and what to test it on my QP mainly to check if any other misfires have occured after a few showed p at the last service. I'm trying to open the compartment next to the steering wheel where its situated. I've turned both of the plastic screws either side and the glove box unit drops forward about 7mm but then stops solid on the right hand side. It seems very firm and when I try and rotate the screw on the RHS nothing moves. Is there another catch or has something jammed? Don't want to break anything by using too much force.

thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,
Just the 2 qtr/half turn plastic screws that you mention...
Mine is also a little tough to open sometimes,
just try to line up as best possible and prize it gently but firmly forward, it should open fully to reveal the port,
Once open, you will see how the screws have lugs that fit into slots,
Regards,

Hi Enzo,

thanks, I thought as much, seems that the lug on the right may have got misshapen and now not allow the hatch to drop forward. I had a look on the eurospares diagram and it seems they have changed the design of the locking mechanism probably due to it jamming. I think I'll wrap some string around the offending lug and pull it that way so there is no risk of breaking the plastic of the hatch.
