Arent the issues centred more around availability of parts then...?
Maserati tax is alive and well too...
I don't think that's the case. If you really want something it's the desirability.I think it's the minority who worry about parts prices, servicing, and all the background things. It's more wanting what they aspired to back in the day and having the means to get it.

Forum digital glitch- I misquoted despite..
just compare with an escort ,lotus carlton, mini cooper etc and can it be the wrong price?
The reason people pay money for Escorts is beyond me,.
Why they shy away from a 3200 is parts availability and Maserati tax ( prices thereof)

edit- I recently suggested a friend who wants a cabrio for w/e drives with his missus look at a GranCabrio...He laughed and cited build quality. He wouldnt trust one further than Boris Johnson...! :p
Some rep's are hard to shift...!?!>!?!>

There is also a 10 to 20 year gap between the two models to take into account.

Yeah/no...if you are talking about the 3200 to GranCab gap...
I was nt going to waste my energy trying to disavow him of his POV. Its just interesting how folk see a marque from the outside looking on, as it were.
