I’m looking to buy a Quadroporte circa 2006 model.

1. Which is the model to avoid because of gearbox issues ?

2. Do they have an all wheel drive option ?

I’m in the UK.

Cheers

I'm not an expert but my understanding is:

1. I'm not aware that any have gearbox issues but the early cars with the Duoselect gearbox split opinion. Are you looking at a specific car or just in general at the moment? Drive both versions and see which you prefer.

2. No

1. All 2004-2006 cars have the same Duoselect gearbox, so you've nothing to choose or worry about there. But have a clutch reading taken, so you know (approximately) how much life is left.
2. All are two wheel drive.
From 2006, the best model is the Sport model.

Welcome to the forum. As above really. The best way to decide which one is for you … duo select or full Auto is to get out and drive both. Motoring press always said when the Auto came along it suited the car more than the duo select but there are owners that love the duo select more. Either way the QP is a fantastic car and such great value but will never be cheap to run so go in with your eyes wide open.

I guess you could say the duo select is like driving the 4200/GS but you are sat in a 4 door saloon. The later auto is put it into D, lay back, and relax?
