You've pulled the trigger, then, or still dithering?Parts are £3200 for a good used bumper, grill . and top and lower panels , plus what ever labour to repair the cill and put the whole lot in paint , still got the lump in the throat
Poised , but im reasonably sure that it will go for more than im willing to pay ( so I wont be disappointed ) ...........lets see , im a great believer in Fate .....if its meant to be mine then it will fall in my lapYou've pulled the trigger, then, or still dithering?
Good approach. No point spending more than you're willing to commit. It's not like you don't have a couple of other great cars to tool around in.Poised , but im reasonably sure that it will go for more than im willing to pay ( so I wont be disappointed ) ...........lets see , im a great believer in Fate .....if its meant to be mine then it will fall in my lap
Exactly . Bentley was purely to scratch an itch , lovely place to be and one helluva comfort drive and a docile Rotweiler when required , but found im paranoid leaving the top down , went for a lovely meal yesterday at Goreleston Beach front at the Fig roof top restaurant , birdseye view of the car but anxiety high as the seagulls were circling lol, fortunately came away unscathedGood approach. You say no joy, but equally no ball-breaking bills, either. Result!No joy its exceeded my limit, and didnt reach reserve , just maybe there might be another crack next week or the week after
You sound like a man with a glass thats half empty , where as my glass is always half full ...............but i get your drift , compensated myself with another 2m3 of sharp sand and 12 bags of cement to complete the patio instead hahahahaYou say no joy, but equally no ball-breaking bills, either. Yeah and the thought of having to bulid another garage to house it , the cement on the last one for the Bentley has only just dried lolGood approach. No point spending more than you're willing to commit. It's not like you don't have a couple of other great cars to tool around in.
It happened to my 166. Insurance company knew I wanted it back, failed to tell anyone.Seen that a couple of times
Yes, I spotted that. I was thinking of going to take a look but unfortunately they weren’t particularly interested in my 3200 in px (made a scrap value offer for it) …This seems good value, or rather cheap depending on your point of view

but it's from a recognised place. I gather early 612s are not a patch on the later ones but even so.

Autoficcina told me that it has a short MOT history here because it was initially registered in Northern Ireland, where it has history with Charles Hurst in Belfast … I still find the 612 to be a bit of an ugly duckling from some angles, I much prefer the design of the 456.
Wheels can make a difference to the 456 also, it always appears under wheeled, to me, in original form.on those wheels I agree but with Challenge wheels i prefer the 612. Sounds a lot better too! Here was mine;

Yes, looks good. I know black on black is very contemporary but it doesn’t appeal to me very much. Makes the Autoficcina car look even better value, as this is a private sale and not taking any offers by the sound of it(?)! They’re going for less at auction ref. the blue one that went through Bonhams last week.
