As an ongoing solution to the oil/water pump issue, as things are now discontinued can we rebuild with the F430 oil pump repair kit and the uprated water pump shaft from Hill engineering?

Would be interested to know if these items work for the Maserati unit which looks almost identical?

That sounds like a good solution going forward. Migliore Maserati have a customer who is making half a dozen new water pump shafts as we speak.

That's good news, if a rebuild solution exists it will make it easier for us to keep the cars going!

So if you get a new shaft and this Ferrari rebuild kit, I assume we can rebuild these units and keep these marvellous cars on the road

It will be interesting how much the shafts will cost but yes that's the way forward.
The water pump is the weak link from my experiences.

I spoke with hill engineering and apparently they don’t do the shaft or any parts for the water for a 430 .
we will look further in to this problem as people will end up having there cars of the road .

I will get a used 430 pump strip it down and also strip a maserati 4200 and compare them .

The American spec cars part is available but Maserati say it will not fit , its a lot of money to buy one at £2500 in order to experiment .

I have also asked Maserati if its possible to get some remanufactured from there suppliers as we have cars of the road .

My mistake I thought Hill Engineering did a shaft, hopefully there will be a future solution for the water pump side as this is the problem.

Yes this is the rebuild kit I have seen, there is also a video on YT explaining the difference between this kit and how it fits a Maserati unit, believe its a couple of o rings are different but easily sourced locally.

If the engineer in the midlands does make an accurate batch of water/oil pump shafts it may be useful to keep him onside so that he can manufacture more batches in the future.

There’s a water pump assembly on eBay that could be a donor to test the shaft and rebuild kit project
