I have the same issue as Angelus, a wife. But similarly, if close to £100 than 200 I can probably get a pass despite my leather bound knob holding up well for it’s age.

I believe we are approaching the right numbers now. Once we get the renders and it looks as good or better than I envisage, hopefully a few more will be convinced to join.

Why not direct more members to the other bird thread. This should lead to more over polished or thread bare knobs.

Identified a definite need with this one. There are around 200 manual 4200 in the UK and around 1000 globally (probably slightly less with cars being broken for parts or written off) so we have probably scratched the surface with 20 units

Of course aluminium is not to everyone's taste but it ensures a minimum level of quality that is more easily achieved than dealing with a leather wrapped product with a gel sticker which is hand made - it will cost more wear quicker and as I mentioned potential quality concerns.

I have had a few enquiries about a 3200 shifter. This is totally possible but ideally we require a sample to work with - condition not important

Also someone asked me if I approached Hills Engineering - yes I did but they said that they are too busy to help currently. The company we are working with has experience doing customised parts for this industry.
