4200 Removing door mirrors

I have had a quick search but could not find anything,
I need to remove both door mirrors, not just the plastic but the metal mounts that attach to the door.

Both have surface rust coming through and do not look perfect, due to the location having them painted whilst attach could be a very messy job and I do not think the finish would be as I would want so I want to take them off so I can give them to a body shop to be prepared and painted.

Has anyone removed them before if so is it an easy job?

Looked pretty simple when I took my doorcards off. Big locking ring on the inside.

I take it the door cards are the same as every other ie a few screws then just be careful with the clips?

Yep. There's a thread somewhere as there are 'quite a lot' of screws.
