Oh no.

I had the same issue in 2016 on my GS.
Short term I had the rotten part cut out and fresh metal welded in to pass the MOT.
then when I had 4 weeks spare I replaced the subframe with a new one, plus a lot of other parts also covered in rust.
You’re not alone with this problem, let us know how you get on.

That's a potential MOT fail. See if it's surface rust or most likely come from the inside and it'll need cutting out, treating and welding up.
Tricketts in Dorset are experts in welding Maserati sub frames. Emblem send all welding jobs to them, as they are top notch.

Thanks Guy's,

I'll contact Tricket's.
I'm thinking to have it welded for now & buy a used frame from eurospares (£560+vat). Then have it treated/powder coated ready for fitting later.
Alternatively, I could just bite the proverbial and go for replacement.
Any idea how much that could cost labourwise.

As an ex MOT tester that is definitely a fail as it's close to the lower suspension arm mounting point.
It looks like the car has been well used in British weather.
Having changed a QPV subframe on my own it's a good few hours work.

Tricketts did mine, with the engine in situ but obvisouly supported, the cut out all the bad stuff near the front righ hand wheel, treated the remaining metal inside, added fillets and bracing, repainted then sealed it all up and the painted the outside. They do a proper job, it's worth a trip down there and they have some exotic F275 and some non-exotic basket cases (R4!) which need the the whole floor replacing.

I remember showing that bill to the customer who's car I did when he started getting squeaky on the cost after he had asked me to come over from France to Yorkshire to do the job.
