I introduced my new 4200 to her great grandmother today. Quite different but similar in idea.

Nuccio Bertone, Gandini and Guigario were an amazing design team. When bertone gave them both free reign, you got some pretty spectacular results...... outrageous, beautiful spectacular lines in these cars.

Always loves the Khamsin, such a great shape. I used to see a dark metallic blue one parked in Aberdeen rail station around 1984.

Yes I love Gandini cars which is what I generally collect. I have an Espada too and previously a 308gt4. Guigario also a genius

The Countach design is simply unmatched.
When you get up close the door windows are not near vertical, but nearer 45 degree angle.
This one was lovely in red last weekend.

I have never seen a UK Countach with that type of body kit. Is it a replica? It would be difficult to adapt to a Standard pre Anniversary car but can be done

There used to be a gold rhd Khasmin by me. Always liked following it, you could see through the tail. Wonder if it’s the same one.

Didn't think it was a replica at the time, if it was, it was a good one!

It used to be in the South coast until I bought it September 2009. The past owner had it a few years and I think prior to that it was the Maserati Heritage collection car.

It would have been 98-01 in Worcester. So maybe there’s another one around. Always fancied one or a Ghibli but they’re just too much money now.

I have now looked at in on a bigger screen. It seems to be a replica. Front wheels are wrong. Side skirts are very unusual and would either be a pointless bolt on or require significant modification of the body..

It fooled me, wasn't expecting it to be a replica so didn't look too closely, plus it was raining, that's my excuse!

Never been a fan of the Countach but I love the Khasmin ...
I like all of Gandini's designs. I think he was a genius. the Countach is a nice old banger. Still super quick and fun and if used all the time reliable and easy to use.

I thought the Citroen BX was OK :) I think the Countach was a bit too much Origami design like the Japanese seem to be doing these days, how many more creases can we cram into one car ? hmmm about as many as the Toyota C-HR has.

I agree. I think some of the modern japanese cars and Lexus models in particular are a bit 'over done'. they may look sharp now but will they survive the test of time? I think Gandini designs have generally stood the test of time.

The LP400 is very pure in design. I do prefer the Later models such as mine the QV as I think they had the muscularity to display their power more appropriately. I really liked the BX. However I am a bit biased.
