Only a couple of years ago I saw a Mistral in reasonable nick up for £29k.... next time I looked they were changing hands for £150k...

I reckon the 3500 gt has some way to go yet...

Yes lots further to go, as good looking as any Ferrari and ones like the 250GT are changing hands way into the millions.

My money would be on the Merak and Bora as the ones to go for which will make you a good return in 10 years.

No question they will climb.

The Vignale Spyder on the NEC stand this year is currently a £600k car.

A few years ago I went to look at a Merak which was up for about 13K it needed a bit of work and was being sold by a garage for a client. They had been "maintaining" the car or at least that is what they tried to tell me. Initially they could not get it running and I had to sort a few things before it would have run.

Long story short - They knew nothing about the car, they told me it was a sister car to the Lamborghini Espada! I made them an offer of 7K to which they were horrified, I walked they finally sold it for 4k!

Still regret not getting it but at the time the garage was completely out of touch, they have gone up quite a bit since but are still one of the more affordable classic Maserati's.

Ideally a nice Bora or Khamsin would suit me but I guess that's unlikely now.

Very nice, although not keen on the sunroof.

I like Justin Banks website the cars always seem reasonable priced but every time I look I see that red Kyalami and think not to everyones taste but maybe?

I also like the yellow pre HE XJS.

Need to sell QP iV first
