There was a young guy with a white 3200 who did the chains on here years ago himself, it's actually the nylon chain guides that wear rather than the chains but while doing those you may as well change the chains used to be the philosophy. I also recall hearing its possible to do the chains without lifting the engine out although you'll probably be tearing your knuckles apart that way.

Agree the photos are off ball joint covers and there are a few alternatives, if the ball joints are ok. The ball joints tend to corrode and seize once the covers are shot like this so you might have to replace the ball joints too, only stripping them and having a look will tell you. The bushes and ball joints come with the suspension arms. There are some indications that after market suspension arms are becoming available so check other threads on here before deciding what to do there. If its not been driven you will likely get knock sensor errors, and possibly issues with the adjustable shocks as these seize up a bit when not used. These may clear with a little use. Is it a manual or an auto? The Auto's don't have as big an issue with end float. Don't be afraid of the door panels they are really not that hard to remove. If you don't have the workshop manual give me a shout there is a digital version. I have removed the door panels a few times and they go back on quite nicely too.

I think that was Beau but it was a while ago and not seen him on here for ages.
