I have a set of wheels (with matching Michelin Pilot Sports with plenty of tread) from a 3200. They are on my Ghibli, but are about to Be replaced by the original split rim Speedlines. Before i decide whether to store or sell them, can someone offer me a rough idea of value?

Bit of a difficult one as it depends on the condition of the wheels and how you catch what is after all a limited market.

Get a couple of buyers interested and I'd reckon on about £600, maybe £700, but conversely they could hang around in a quiet market at £400.00.

A quick search on Ebay will give you an idea of the spread, though mainly only showing single wheels, rather than sets.

The value is upwards of £500 assuming the wheels need no refurbishing and the tyres are in good condition with decent tread. As Miles said, the price beyond that depends on demand. I sold a set of 4200 15 spoke alloys that were freshly refurbed for £800 a few years back as a couple of people were fighting over them. A tidy profit as I paid just £50 for the full set and another £150 to refurb!

NickP - 3200 wheels were never ball polished.

I'll open up the garage and have a proper look this weekend. A couple were refurbished at Emblem a few months ago, but I think there might now be the odd mark on one of the others. I'll check. And i'll measure the tread depth of the tyres. But, it sounds as though the value is sufficient to make it worth thinking at selling them. There's no benefit in £500 or so of wheels/tyres sitting in the corner of my garage gathering dust.

Had a good luck at these and have now placed an ad in the classifieds section. It transpires the tyres are Dunlop SP 9000 Sports (not Michelin as I had previously assumed). All with good tread depth having only covered about 4000 miles.

Email me at ewan@coppercoat.com if you are interested.

Sorry I meant cut alloy not ball polished..... Mine were cut and are now painted since the cost of refurbing went up considerably due to the processes involved.

Nick - they are original, standard 3200 wheels, not the darker ones fitted to the AC version.
