3200 speedo cluster issues

My speedo has always got stuck, I bought a replacement speedo cluster , from ebay, it looks the same and has same part numbers, but the speedo and rev counter don't work when plugged in, any ideas? Thanks

Never done it but did you manage to wind the odometer to match the old reading? I wonder if there is an intelligence in the ECU which knows the ident of the cluster in order to prevent rollback? Do you know 100% that the new cluster works?

the part number on the speedo cluster plastic and on the circuit board was the same, but on the rev counter/speedo was different, i can only assume the one i bought came from an automatic and they are not compatible? who knows- anyway after lots of pissing about swapping bits over, i finally look like i have a full working speedo cluster

mileage is easy, i could set the mileage in your car to what ever you wanted in about 15 minutes... once the pod is out of the car, its very simple , maybe not so good in the wrong hands!
