3200 Sill and door threshold cover removal

Finally getting round to addressing the wheel arch rust. It seems that the seals between the bodywork and liners have badly deteriorated that has allowed water in and to stay. Looking to replace these anyone done this before?

I suspect a question for that those that dismantle 3200's for spares but does anyone have any experience of removing the sill covers? Seems that they are riveted underneath with a couple of plastic covers concealing 10mm bolts. I suspect front arch liner needs to come out of front wheel arch to reveal some more fixings? I have found the one fixing bolt inside rear arch liner.

My main question relates to the metal door threshold cover - does this need to come off to remove sill covers? Is it concealing any fixings? There are 3 very small screws under seal that have rusted out so suspect these need to be drilled out but once I do that is the metal cover fixed anywhere else or is it glued in position?

Any guidance welcome.

Mine were bonded and screws along the bottom came off reasonably easily bit of patience needed.

my sill covers were also screwed into place and came off reasonably easily. I seem to think i had to get the front liners off first as there are a couple of screws on the inside at the front there and also at the back to both sets of arch liners need to be off first. but i don't remember drilling rivets, so either that's a factory variation or someone has used rivets because they lost the screws or the holes were in bad condition?

Thanks guys - back on to this afternoon and will give an update later. Looking at ES site it does seem they sell rivets for underside so it may be yours had screws fixed subsequently? Also discovered workshop manual less than helpful about removing rear bumper - searched in vain for 2 bolts inside the boot but then discovered you need to remove brackets next to rear boxes. One very stubborn bolt behind battery tray and then hopefully bumper will be off.

If possible post some photos, I had some bubbling on the rear arch. I had them done a while ago but has not come back, looks like it's for the inside.

I also need a front end respray and a few additional chips so really considering a full job this time.
