So I have had the 3200 for a few months now and am really pleased with it. The passenger side rear shock has had a leak since I bought the car so I decided to get it sorted (as it was not going to get better). I ordered some rebuilt shocks from David Askew which he provided on an exchange basis (returning mine to him after fitting exchange units). This was an excellent service and very good value.
The new shocks have been fitted but now I have a red "error" light on the dash. Which I believe indicates a fault with the actuators / control unit for the suspension. I have never had this warning before and being that it was only the rear shocks that were changed I am assuming something has been upset/damaged during the swap. I had a listen to the acctuators while someone switched the ignition on and initially thought I could hear the drivers side unit working but not the passengers on further inspection I could feel that something was moving in the pasenger one but it did not feel as if the drivers side was, so am a bit confused. I will look at this again during the week and see if I can work out what is wrong, in the mean time any advice would be appreciated. Obviously if I can't see an obvious problem I will need to get a specialist to look at it.
The next thing I want to get sorted is the handbrake, I have been told the best option is to have the shoes refurbed so any advice on this would also be appeciated. Is it possible to get new springs / clips for replacing any original items.
Regards
Lee
