i desperatly need to get hold of 2 timing chain guides for my 3200, does anyone know someone who might stock them? item number 578036700 on eurospares (not in stock)

ps. i think the chain/guide interval at 70k should not be over looked, my guides have cracked at 71,000 and only seen once taken off

its quoted in KM, just under 70k it works out to.

the guides are made of some plasticy material that goes brittle with age and cracks up, and 1 of my guides had deep wear grooves in it, i dont know what these places do when people say they have had the chains checked and they are ok? do they actually remove the guides and inspect them?

I spoke to BMs about mine and they said they would check them and if they look ok then they'll leave em be

just for the record, i got the other chain guide out, and its not cracked but its got 2-3mm deep wear marks from the chain, considering they cost £7 each they are a worth while replacement.

I have a set of these and a pair of chains - all barns new from Eurospares, which I never got around to fitting to my car. PM me if you are interested.
