Worked on the 3200 over the weekend fitting the new straight through rears and noticed the graphite sealing ring is probably past its best. I've stopped while I source replacements. They appear to be £33 each from eurospares for what is really a £2 part... Does any one know of an alternative?

If that is the ring between the rear pipes and the link pipes, my local indie exhaust centre had a selection of sealing rings and one fitted perfectly.
You're going to love the sound when they're fitted Al!

I may have fitted them with just exhaust putty for now.... They do sound rather good. I need to get it out and under load to get the full idea but they have released that rawness that has been missing.... I've had a few pops on over run too, and that just from the garage!!!

Hit sport mode and give it revs to the limiter. Mine pops and bangs....

Do you have a decat too?

Glad to hear it Al, you won't regret it!

Thread Resureection...

Eurospares list these for a ridiculous £57.54 each EX VAT!! And I need 4.

I might be able to clean two up, but they are rather corroded and a couple are misshapen.

I am going to try Lancaster Maserati tomorrow, but does anyone have a better source!?

These should cost no more than £15-20 in my book!

Tempted to try something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-E...619692?hash=item51a0e3926c:g:f~8AAOxywOtSZPnS

Although it seems the original is metal and double bevelled.
I think it's a 2.5" exhaust.

Well, I ordered them, 4 x £58 each, with 5% discount for a next day order. (two for the centre section, and two for rear boxes)

For a small metal sealing ring! I need them to fit to my Larini Exhaust.

I feel like I've been robbed!!!

There has got to be a better source for these! I had to order as I'm taking up the ramp at work and need to get the job done...

Never had the problem as all the pipes I've used were custom made on the Huth pipe bender and no gaskets were required. Slot them in, weld them and clamp.

Thankfully it turns out I only needed two, two were hidden in the box, found them just as I was about to throw the box out.

At first I thought these rings were part of the exhaust (they were rusted on)

A bit disappointing that Larini only provide two, and not the 4 that are required - despite me querying this.

Just in case this comes up again the Maserati part No for the rings is 399050305. I found I had two in a spares box which will come in useful as the 3 hole clamps securing my Tubi back boxes have rusted through and I have bought some new 3 hole clamps off ebay. Just in case I have to replace centre joints I contacted the company listed above but unfortunately most of their rings are only single bevelled and they do not have an alternative part. In case anyone needs dimensions in the future these are what I have taken off the new rings I found: ID 55.5mm, OD 68.5mm, width 17mm double bevelled

They look very much like old Alfa 105 series exhaust parts..

I have two brand new sealing rings for the centre section if anyone is after some - they are a different diameter to the rear box ones.
