For sure Frank , what we are seeing now is the tip of the iceberg in europe as a whole , im fully for it to weed out the dead wood and chaff , looking forward to 2 years time when the light and the end of the tunnel should be visible , just worried how much my pension is gonna get carved up , ive frozen it for the last couple of years and diversified a bit into other stuff

Loz, as a 28 years service man in the NHS, am worried about my own final salary scheme and any reduction of same...will know more tomorrow!!!!

I have afinal salary pension which is great..or was....getting the chop from feb next year.

Guys you worry too much.
i was made redundant 10 years ago told to sign on and entitled to guess what nothing.
Became self employed and have not looked back.
Not always been easy but if i don't want to do it i don't.
Thought the recession/credit crunch what ever you want to call it was going to be a problem but im still in the game.
Resigned to the fact that i will work until i stop.
Good job i enjoy what i do.

Im an independant Motor Engineer freelance for several people also have a small workshop/mot test station in Weston super Mare.
Having been a motor sport competitor for over 20 years doing stage rallying people presume im a profesional driver.
I have done new car launches for manufacturers, worked at the Motor Show at the Nec.
Driver training on track and do some rally tuition for a local rally stunt school.

My kids think i live the dream there not far off but they don't pay the bills!
