Hi all,

It's quite an annoying problem... here in Hong Kong, it's quite hot and humid during summer time. So, have to start the air-conditioning and turn it to cooling....

However, I found that whenever I turned my air-con on, after a few minutes, mist start building up on the bottom part of the windscreen outside. Know that is normal nature phenomenon that while the inside temperature is low and outside temperature is high and humid, mist starts building up outside on glasses.... Although I can turn my wipe my windscreen; however, it is not a long-term solution as after wiping it, mist will build up immediately; and it looks stupid for wiping the windscreen in a sunny day, right?

Noted that the major problem is, there is an air vent blowing cool air from the bottom of the windscreen inside, this cool air directly hit on the internal windscreen, which increases the temperature difference between inside and outside the windscreen that helps the mist building up quickly.

I tried to turn the knob in different air-blowing style... it just won't help... even for the picture that seems to heat up the windscreen plus blowing other air to the face does not help, the air vent at the bottom of the windscreen still blowing cool air out.... (Of course, if turn to the picture with max heating, it will help as only hot air will blow into the car.... which wouldn't be a solution in summer).

Is it normal that the air vent must blow cool air out? Any means to stop it blowing other than applying a tape to block the air flowing out?

BTW, I found that the plastic around that air vent is quite sticky and everything touches it will got the dark paint from it... believe that it is the nature of that kind of plastic after over 10 years... anyone can direct me to the part number of that plastic if I want to change it? Is it easy to change that part?

Appreciate for your reading and help in advance! Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Michael.
