I’m servicing my 3200. With 01394 for spare parts number it should be a first series.
The engine block has the thermal valve (part 0000955067) and according to the workshop manual it should be connected to the activated carbon filter, but instead it’s connected to the pop-off valves.
Note that the carbon filter is connected correctly conform one of the diagram versions, the one without thermal valve, provided by the work shop manual.
According to the manual the pop-off’s should be connected to the intake manifold in order to get their pneumatic signal.
Next to that one of the 4 pneumatic connections at the back of the inlet manifold was not used. It was open.
I find this a very strange situation and I have the impression that a mechanic from, or one of, the previous onwers misplaced the air tube. The air tube is also cut very roughly/not nice straight nor smooth.
Would like to have some confirmation before rewiring, so can anyone please confirm my thoughts?Or is anyone known with a modification where above mentioned connection makes sense?
