1999 Maserati 3200 GT Performance
Engine power - 370 bhp
Engine size - 3217 cc
Brochure Engine size - 3.2 litres
Acceleration (0-60mph) - 5.1 seconds
Top speed - 174 mph
I am shocked, before researching I honestly thought the Granturismo was a lot quicker ??
Yes, but the social myth is that Maserati were instructed in 1998 to deliver the 3200 below the Ferrari bhp at the time and maser engineers thought "hey luigi, we gonna do that?"...... "Nah, we're not mario, we gonna put more horses in but not tell anyone"Given the fact that I'm yet to hear of a 3200gt showing less than 400hp I'd take those figures with a pinch of salt. That said I'd expect the Granturismo figures to be similarly understated. (Would be interesting to hear if this is the case).

On a more serious note, the torque on the 32 is so high and the back so light it is difficult to get the power on the Tarmac, even for those far better drivers than me IMO.
