Hi Friends!
When I bought my Diva 5 years ago, the A/C was not working. That's basically how most of us know it.
After inspecting it, I could not find any major problems, just some oil leaks on our beloved Sanden compressor.
So I bought the sealing kit and in the end was too lazy to install it. Furthermore I know that opening an AC system can be a never-ending story so I more ore less avoided it.
Since I refill my AC systems myself since more than 15 years with success, I gave it a try and bought a self sealing kit which was injected into the AC system along with fluorescent oil to make leaks more visible and some random amount of PAG oil which I Injected.
I forgot about this and usually every spring the AC system was basically empty. I refilled it with Envirosafe/Articool or similar carbon coolants which gave me much more cooling than the regular 134a.
Until this spring, when I noticed that the air-conditioning worked perfectly fine.
By coincident I laid under my diva, or rather due to a faulty clutch, and saw a completely dry Sanden compressor.
That totally surprised me and I recalled the sealing procedure 5 years ago.
So I can really recommend this in order to have fun in the summer heat and save some bucks.
For legal reasons: Everything said and done was by a friend of a friend and I would not recommend anyone doing this but to go to an authorized dealer and ask him to replace your complete A/C system
First and fourth pictures are from the leaking compressor about 4 years ago. 2 and 3 are from yesterday.
