Just had my first ever "fail to start", from cold. (really annoying as i raced home to get the 3200 and go out for a spin with 3 mates) I have had several "hot start" issues after stalling engine.

Engine turns over normally but fails to fire.
Could mine be crank sensor?
How can i test this at home?

Car has been standing since friday (not unusual).

Tried waiting. locking / unlocking car. battery reset. throttle reset.

Any test I can do?

Do you have the immobiliser red light on the lower dash or the code light on?

TDC sensor start failure is usually from warm from experiance, but its a cheap part so worth changing.

What you can also do is disconnect the MAF, trying to remember if it has one, I think it must have.

Next thing to try is to pull the TB intake and check the butterfly is moving and also check you have fuel rail pressure. I believe there is a valve you can press on the rail with a small flat blade screwdriver and the fuel should jet out at speed.

I had issues with cold start on my Alfa 156 and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay.

Some things to try.....
