Hi everybody. Anybody suffered ecu failure. I am being told nobody will work on it or even look at it. Second hand seems to be hard to get and new is 4k! Ouch. If anybody has any contacts for getting these reconditioned then would appreciate it

The only advise I can offer is to contact David Askew, see details on the SPONSORS tab at the top.

He will be able to supply you a used unit and give you advise on if they can be repaired.

One thing to bare in mind is that I have seen this diagnosis before on a couple if occasions and it turned out to be a blown fuse so make sure you are getting correct diagnosis before spending out. ECU failure is very rare and its easy for a technical to point to this when he has run out of ideas.

If you got diagnosed as needing a new brain. I think you would seek a second opinion too.

If your anywhere down South get the car to Mike Roberts Maserati Shed as he is a whizz with this type if issue.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Our company had one rebuilt for a customer for 3-4 hundred pounds about 5 years ago. I can't remember who did it but if you give the manager (Simon) at our Colchester shop a call 01206 799174 he will have the info somewhere probably

Didn't Beau think he had a failed ECU which turned out to be the ECU fuse? Just a thought....

If it has gone, no where will do it, I tried everywhere.

Mine was diagnosed as a blown ecu by a maserati specialist, turned out it was a blown fuse.....

Check all the fuses first..!! You can always hunt the wreckers for a replacement, or the listed Indie's, they sometimes have spares for sale..!!
