Hi guys,
As all of you would be aware the front headlight seals both RHS and LHS are longer available to purchase, which has been confirmed with Eurospares and Scuderia even though they state on their website that they are! The part numbers are 980000951/2 respectively. I have a brand new pair of NOS seals which I have given to a rubber seal maker in Australia to look at whether he could re-manufacture them which he can. There is nothing financial in this for me and I am seeing if this is something that other owners would be interested in. In the past when available the price was around AUD35 each side, for this proceed it will be around AUD50 each side. I have given the go ahead to the manufacturer based on interest I received from Facebook and other Maserati Forums. If anyone on this Forum please let me know as the lead time is around 4 months from mold production and prototype checking. I am not after any money at this point in time just an expression of interest. This is not a scam this is a genuine option going forward.
if I have posted this in the wrong section of the Forum please move it!!
Thanks for your interest in advance.

Hi all,
Given I have no one respond to my message to date, I am moving on to producing the rubber seals and will have them made in the next few months. If anyone is interested let me know otherwise I will be up updating this threat when I am ready to sell.
thanks
David

It's good you are getting these made.
In the UK the seals are probably not so much a problem due to our cooler climate and probably why you haven't had a response.
However as the years tick by they might be more demand in the UK, like sticky switches years later than those in hotter climates.

Please! ;-)
I am sorry I am not here to play silly games, no more correspondence on this I have gone out on on a limb to do this so if you are serious let me know, otherwise I will use other forums to discuss this initiative.

Sorry for the late response as I don't usually frequent forums over the weekend.
I was not 'playing silly games' I was merely trying to bring to your attention (in what I thought was a subtle/light hearted approach (hence the smiley face) the 'kurt' manner in the way you asked for a
favour. I failed in that approach so I apologise!
I was brought up with the ethos that manners were important in all forms of communication which it appears you don't agree with!
So on this matter I think we should agree to disagree, act like gentlemen and close the book on this chapter...

@Duval, I’m sure most on here really appreciate you doing this, it‘s great to have resourceful people like you coming up with ideas and products to keep these cars in tiptop shape and on the road.

Hi,
I'd be interested as well for a pair. And congrats for your initiative ! Please let us know when/how to pay and process.

Sorry to ask this question here, but I'll have to disassemble one headlight soon, and I'm sure I've seen recently a member describing how he managed to open them "quite"easily. I remember he said 1st took an hour and the second 15mn. Could someone please give me the link of the post ?

Thanks !

Will be interested too potentially. One of my headlights hasn't been refitted properly after it had a bumper respray and the rubber seal is loose.

As @Tallman says, It's thanks to enthusiasts that these cars will stay on the road.
