2009 GTS for sale - anyone know anything about this car?

Hi everyone

My friend has rather fallen for my GTS and is now on the lookout for one himself. Tomorrow he's driving all the way to Wales (from Peterborough) to look at this car:

Anyone know anything about it? Any bombshells that could avoid a long, wasted drive to view it?

Does he absolutely need or want a grey car with brown interior? And an auto? If he is open to the transmission and colour way and can spend a little more I don't think you will do better than this car from Richard Grace.

Not only will it be a certified good car, it will be serviced, detailed and warranted from the best in the business. It may be more upfront but almost certainly a cheaper long term proposition. I don't know the car you have referenced so will let others chime in if they know some of the history etc

Brown leather…There should be more brown leather in cars. Love it.
Steering wheel may be a step too far , but the rest looks OK tbh. Wrong colour wheels. Too close to the car. They would be better silver I reckon.

Hi - yes - he wants the Auto. Certainly a lovely looking car at Richard Grace though

I'm surprised how much I like that interior! Looks like an antique sofa, very welcoming.
My friend likes it as well - he's off to look at it today. I like the colour but find the brown steering wheel and matching dash a tad too much.

Love the interior, but as others have said the steering wheel is a touch too far. But easily changed to black.

Thanks for the recommendation, much appreciated.
To the OP, make sure he has it PPI’d. Variators on an 09.

So - an update in case anyone else is looking at / interested in this car. Jon drove best part of three hours to take a look. Bodywork is sound and everything looks lovely BUT they then started the engine. Clacking / knocking sound for about 10 seconds. He did check the engine number before heading off to see if it could possibly have the variator issues and the number he was supplied was beyond the number where it was fixed (it's a 2009). And then, wait for it, he couldn't take it for a test drive without buying it first as, wait for it again, it's been cleaned and they don't want to clean it again... Needless to say his search continues.... I have passed along the references to the cars you have suggested.

Shame.
I like the colour scheme, but would be better with black steering wheel and dash/door tops.
I think Maseratis are better with more individual colours than black, like 90% of all cars these days.
