Why be so pedantic when it is clearly an auto? 4.7S was never a model, they only made a 4.7 GTS or a 4.7 GTS Auto if you wanted a 4.7 engine prior to Stradale and GT Sport.

I wasn’t being pedantic I just wanted to know what it was as I’m not up on the model range and when I googled it it came up with an Evo article that says the Granturismo S 4.7 was released with the MC Shift box.

“4.7S was never a model” why be so pedantic? ;)

I only put 30k as some people love low mileage motors to stick in a barn for 20 years.

The reserve estimates are bonkers!

I gathered that was your thinking.... its an amazing thing selling, if you tell someone something is worth £50k and then offer them it for £40k they feel like they have had a bargain. Wonder if this is where the estimates come from

If @bigbob had of used a smiley, the post wouldn't have been so frosty :f2:

Apologies I was convinced mine was a GTS Auto but I checked my V5 and it says Granturismo S Auto which I guess is vaguely the same if you change the spacing. That’s why I’m selling up, can’t even remember what my car is called!

Substitute £50k for £20k and £40k for £16k

We had a discussion about this on another thread. Low mileage purchase vs high mileage purchase. Extremely low mileage (I.e. delivery plus mileage) is probably as bad as (very) high mileage in terms of risk - not saying a very well maintained high mileage car with documented history is as much of a purchase risk, my high mileage fellow forum members!

You would probably have quite a bit of work to do to get this car re-commissioned. I won’t even start about PPI ;)

Low mileage is risk. But the very high end cars like this Carrera GT https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2004-porsche-carrera-gt-manual/OAG-AD-20156600/?Cr=0 have close to delivery miles on them too. I guess if its maintained well it should run fine. Otherwise these collectors are causing major problems for these cars.

Sellers take chances at auctions. Yesterday an F12 sold, LHD, being sold from the Netherlands, but allegedly registered in the UK. During auction potential buyers found it to have been a UAE/Arab car imported into the UK without any history in 2017. Subsequently found to have been exported from the UK before Brexit but not imported into the EU so (a lot of) taxes most probably due wherever it will go. Went for €136,000.
