2008 Granturismo boot release cord question

Hi

When I had my battery issues I read up on the location of the boot release cord just in case.

However when I went to look for it (under passenger side rear seat). It's not there - am I being thick?

I've even prised out some of the carpet in the footwell to under the seat to make access easier - still no luck

If it is missing (or pull part snapped off) can it be retrofitted?

Can you use the key, turn it, and push down method on a Granturismo?

Mine is easily located under the rear passenger seat as you describe - so that’s where it should be

On my GTS it is not that easy to find the cord especially if you've not found it before or been shown. It can't be photographed, so I took a photo of my hand, the second finger of which is holding the cord end ring - which is what you're looking for by touch only. Hope this helps you.
